Fans of whiskey and sneakers have more in common than some might think. Whether you’re a bourbon hunter or a hypebeast, you’re happy to wait on long lines for that right drop and are often willing to pay for more than retail on the secondary market. So, when Bulleit Frontier Whiskey announced it was making a sneaker, it made total sense.
Created as a first-of-their-kind, the shoes were made in collaboration with industrial designers and manufacturers at Tangible Creative and Dallas-based artist Kyle Steed and took more than 200 hours to develop. The design was inspired by Steed’s personal interpretation of what it means to be on the frontier of culture, depicting a variety of human elements that come together to make-up the community that gives meaning to innovation.
