3D Printed Sneakers:
Tangible Creative collaborated with Bulleit Bourbons’ Frontier Works, and artist Kyle Steed to create these limited-edition 3D printed sneakers. Dubbed “the first single-3D-printed sneaker to hit the market,” the collaboration combines industrial design approaches with streetwear. To construct the digital mold the team at Tangible Creative used Z-Brush technology, designing the body and soles from start to finish. The final product is a single-printed sneaker with a retro appearance but with futuristic elements.
By using engineered SLS TPU the fit of the sneaker is ensured to be durable, flexible, and wearable for everyday use. Featuring hidden lattice soles, the sneaker design itself is complex as much as it is “sophisticated and organic,” [Esquire Magazine]. To top off the project for Bulleit’s Frontier Works, Tangible Creative made resin printed replicas of the Bourbon brand’s signature bottles, also painted with Steed’s designs applied using laser-cut stenciling and airbrush.
